Rocco Pistonesi, the face and creative director of the Rocco P. brand for decades, has developed a new project in collaboration with his daughter Zarina.
APICE was born during the pandemic. It takes shape in an unexpected creative dialogue, in which one aims for the return to origins, to authenticity, to truth starting from the fundamental values of family and traditions. Isolation has led to the rediscovery of the need for discussion and rapprochement with those local artisan realities that modernity and the use of technology had made us forget.
The daughter was essential in the evolution of the entire project, the clashes became confrontations and the repeated exchanges of ideas generated new energy.
There is Rocco's unmistakable imprint behind the thought that each shoe is designed to leave a mark, and Zarina's careful and contemporary mindset underlines it. The essentiality of the design, distant from fleeting trends, unmistakably recalls a form of art.
The structures are sculptural and studied down to the smallest detail, that can only be created in small workshops, where manufacturing expresses itself by creating that imperfection that gives uniqueness to the product.
